Baladi is a family owned business. We, Ali and Maha, started it in March 2015 after we had visited The Netherlands for vacation several times and found nothing similar in the country so we decided to share the Manouche love and move to The Hague.
After a lot of hard work (and google translate) and a successful crowdfunding campaign, we were able to set up shop and start baking. Soon enough our lovely clients started flocking in and loving the food.
Baladi offers more than just delicious food; it's an experience. From the moment you step in, you'll feel transported to Beirut, surrounded by vibrant murals of Lebanese buildings. Our lively and friendly servers (often loud but that’s ok it adds to the memories) , who often chat and make recommendations, add to the welcoming atmosphere. Don’t feel offended if they say no you your “special orders” though, we know better 😉
Customers return not just for the food, but for the warm conversations as well.
Our Manouches, drinks and desserts are unique, fast, affordable and homemade and you can have your meal in the shop or takeaway. We also offer delivery service and catering for large groups.
