Baladi is a family-owned business, lovingly created by us — Ali and Maha. After several visits to the Netherlands, we realized there was nothing quite like the manouches we grew up with in Lebanon. So, in March 2015, we took the leap, moved to The Hague, and decided to share our love for manouche with our new community.
With a lot of hard work (and more than a little help from Google Translate!) — and the support of an amazing crowdfunding campaign — we opened our doors and started baking. It didn’t take long before curious visitors turned into loyal regulars, drawn in by the food, the vibe, and the heart behind it all.
At Baladi, you’re getting more than just a meal — you’re getting a slice of Beirut. The walls are alive with colorful murals of Lebanese streets, and our team is just as vibrant. Our staff are friendly, a little loud, and always ready to recommend a favorite — but fair warning: we may say no to your “creative” custom orders… it’s all part of preserving the real taste of Lebanon 😉.
Our manouches, drinks, and desserts are fast, affordable, homemade, and full of soul. Whether you dine in, take away, order delivery, or cater for a big group — Baladi is here to bring the flavors and warmth of Lebanon to your table.
